Being nearly at the end of the season, Bryan Fuller returns to "Heroes" after the old team changed. It was a production nightmare and it cost a really nice series (Pushing Daisies) onwards.
The first change, is reflected on the episode opening. In last episode (19) Syler was targetting the main villain of this volume, Danko. This scene was changed, (? or moved the time schedule for another time frame) with the delivery of Doyle the puppeteer as a reminiscent of Spider-man's calling card. Clearly the photography has changed, it reminds me of House MD's opening sequences.
This episode has some Pushing Daisies allusions as well; Swoosie Kurtz plays Millie a friend of Ma' Petrelli, while there is a touching moment on a rooftop in Paris between two characters which is somehow heartbreaking (but witnessing BSG last week, still the most heartbreaking thing on tv nowadays, tops everything else). Also we have a return of an old "player" but not complete, much alike Peter Petrelli.
We also learn who REBEL is on this episode. And it's an unlikely odd you would have guessed it on the way. I have to say though, it's not Hana Gitelman who now plays on "Castle" ;) Everything seems to be building up for the ending of this volume (and season finale), but I hope that this time it won't have another lame ending.
